Originally from Plymouth, MI, Matthew graduated from Michigan State University and worked for 19 years in the private golf club management business, including a four-year stint as the Director of Golf Courses at the venerable Winged Foot Golf Club in Westchester County. While working at some of the elite private golf clubs in the country, Matthew became adept in understanding and exceeding clientele expectations under high pressure situations. His character traits that entailed success in private golf club management, such as commitment to working the long hours required to get the job done, excellent communication skills, and extensive industry knowledge, have translated well in the real estate field. Overall, Matthew feels that his integrity, contagious passion, and ability to seek and understand what each seller, buyer, or renter truly desires are the qualities he finds most valuable in real estate. Evident in the countless golf member friendships that were fostered and continue today, he truly enjoys helping clients find or sell their homes and cultivating long-lasting relationships. When he is not pounding the streets showing apartments, one will likely find Matthew golfing, playing guitar, attending sporting events or concerts, riding his motorcycle, at the gym, or training for running competitions. He has run fifteen marathons, including ten Boston Marathons as part of the "Marathon Strides Against MS Team" for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Along with his fundraising efforts for MS, he also regularly supports CARE, The Children's Starlight Foundation, and the ASPCA. Matthew lives in a Co-op building in Chelsea and he enjoys all the restaurants, parks, and nightlife that it has to offer. Matthew is a member of the Michigan State University Alumni Club of Greater New York, the New York Road Runners Club, the Real Estate Board of New York, the National Association of Realtors, and the Young Real Estate Professionals of New York.
