The disclosure describes a portable garage with a ballast-containing base. The garage is assembled at a site without physical attachment thereto and disassembled for erection at another site. Each elongated base segment extending along the sidewall of the garage has a cavity therein for receiving ballast, which, after erection of the garage, is filled with water, sand or gravel. The weight thereof stabilizes the structure. The bases have extensions which interlock and overlie connector portions. Apertures through the connectors house support members and, upon the sidewall being assembled, these columns are vertically disposed. Between support members a prefabricated roof is attached. The ballast-container is a lightweight, molded plastic construct of high-impact, UV resistant material. The base is equipped with suitable inlet and outlet ports for the addition and removal of ballast.

An unbreakable basket detachably coupled to a nestable shopping cart, has vertical and horizontal plastic ribs, certain ones protecting a detachably mounted sign on the forward face. The open end of the basket has a continuous rolled rim which enhances structural ridigity of the basket and protects the shopping cart and the sign. The upper end of the basket is mounted to the shopping cart by S-hooks. Recesses in the basket prevent the S-hooks swinging and facilitate assembly and disassembly. Retainer receiving members arranged along the rearward end snap fittingly receive a plastic retainer securing the basket to the cart and preventing the basket from swinging. The vertical ribs and rolled bumper rim removably receive and support the sign. The basket is tapered to permit nesting during shipment or storage. Advertising material and/or messages are printed on both sides.

A plastic ornament and a method of making the ornament. Plastic pellets are placed in the holes of a mesh according to a predetermined pattern, each hole being sized to accommodate a single pellet. The pellets and mesh are heated until the pellets begin to fuse together. The mesh is then separated from the fused pellets. A display device for a plurality of carpet samples is provided having a base; a rectangular frame slopingly mounted in the top portion of the base, the frame having a back frame member, a front frame member, and a pair of side frame members, the back frame member when assembled thereto, being elevated substantially above the front frame member; a plurality of bottom support rails interconnecting the medial portions of the front and the back frame members the bottom support rails having a rear portion descend substantially vertically from the back frame member, having a middle portion disposed substantially parallel to the side frame members, and having a front portion extending horizontally to the front frame member; and, a plurality of sample-holding compartments mounted thereon, each compartment forming a pigeonhole for one of the carpet samples with the samples being arrayed in a waterfall display. In the display device, each carpet sample is housed in a compartment and has a displayed edge portion which protrudes beyond the end of the adjacent carpet sample in the adjacent rearward compartment.
