Provided are methods of identifying inhibitors of β-secretase that employ modified β-secretase substrates. The modified β-secretase substrates have β-secretase cleavage sites that are altered from wild type. The amino acid sequences of the altered β-secretase cleavage sites contain different amino acids in at least one of the positions P2-P1-P1′-P2′ of the β-secretase cleavage site. Many of the modified β-secretase substrates are more efficient substrates for β-secretase than are corresponding substrates having wild-type sequences, that is, these modified substrates are more susceptible to enzymatic breakdown by β-secretase. Recombinant polynucleotide molecules encoding the modified β-secretase substrates are provided. Antibodies that recognize cleavage products of the modified β-secretase substrates are provided. Stable cell lines expressing the modified β-secretase substrates are provided.

Using a method to measure the effect of downregulation of certain cellular proteins on HIV integration, host proteins implicated in HIV infection were identified. The identified proteins and encoding nucleic acids provide targets for inhibiting HIV infection and for evaluating the ability of compounds to inhibit HIV infection. A post-quantum physical-layer encryption/decryption system based on chaotic Baseband Modulation Hopping (BMH). The baseband constellation, mapping, power level, and phase will vary symbol-by-symbol according to assigned random sequences. Pre-shared secret keys are used as the chaotic system parameters, initialization, and quantization parameters to generate the BMH codes. The BMH physical-layer encryption/decryption system can be combined with digital-domain based encryption algorithms such as AES, code-based post-quantum cryptography, and other physical-layer secure communication techniques such as Frequency Hopping (FH) and Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). This invention is related to a deep multi-sensor fusion system for inter-radar interference-free environmental perception comprising of (1) polystatic Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) radars such as radio frequency radar and laser radar; (2) vehicle self-localization and navigation; (3) the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) including Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication (V2V), Vehicle-to-Infrastructure communication (V2I), other communication systems, data center/cloud; (4) passive sensors such as EOIR, and (5) deep multi-sensor fusion algorithms. The self-localization sensors and V2X formulate cooperative sensors. The transmitted radar signals from other vehicles are not considered as interference or uselessness as conventional radars, but considered as useful signals to formulate a polystatic MIMO radar which can overcome the interference problem and improve the radar performance.
