I am the daughter of a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, who flew F-4s during Viet Nam. After he retired, our family settled in Tipp City, OH, a small town just north of Dayton. I attended college at Wright State University in Dayton, OH and graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology and Public Health. After college I worked as a City Inspector for a year then decided to pursue a career in the U.S. Navy. I was commissioned an Ensign in 1985 and spent the next twenty years on active duty. I am happily married to a former Navy pilot, who is now an airline pilot. Jim and I have been married for 20 years and have two beautiful boys, ages 17 and 13. We decided to settle in Colorado Springs after my final assignment at US Northern Command because the people are friendly, the schools are great, and the sun shines almost everyday. In August 2005, I completed 20 years of active duty in the United States Navy and retired as a Commander. I have been stationed in a number of locations during my career, including Subic Bay, Philippines; San Diego and Monterey, CA; Washington DC; Scott AFB, IL; and Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs. While on active duty, I earned an M.S. degree in Information Systems Management and worked in a variety of assignments including Information Technology, IT Acquisition, and most recently, Financial Management. Before retiring from the Navy, I convinced my husband to invest in real estate if I obtained my real estate license. He was very supportive of this idea, and we have since purchased one investment property with a goal to purchase others in the future. My technology background in the Navy is a great asset for the real estate business since 95% of the buyers start their search online.
