Neil Kirby, Meijer and Blue Water Technologies will receive an award for Most Innovative Use of A/V Technology for an Outdoor Event, for its Meijer "He Rides" Chicago Awareness Campaign project. One judge said, "This was probably my favorite entry of all. A/V folks rarely get to be media guerillas, much less do something this cool. The reactions of the people on the street who witnessed this event were priceless. What a great marriage between marketing and technology!" My goal as executive producer and creative director was to bring awareness to Meijer stores in Chicago as Meijer enter the new market. I coordinated 6 companies to come up with the headless horseman.
