Abstract:
The laundry treating device has a user interface configured to receive a user selection of a preprogrammed wash cycle. A treating chemistry dispenser has multiple treating chemistry cups configured to dispense treating chemistry to the treating chamber during the selected washing cycle. A controller configured to activate dispensing from each of the treating chemistry cups at preprogrammed times during the wash cycle. A performance enhancement selector configured to receive a user selection such that activation of the performance enhancement selector causes the controller to dispense one of the treating chemistry cups at a different time than the preprogrammed time during the wash cycle.

Laundry Treating Appliance With Over-Sudsing Condition Compensation Measures

US Patent:
2018032, Nov 15, 2018
Filed:
Jul 24, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/043319
Inventors:
- BENTON HARBOR MI, US
NICHOLAS LEEP - SAINT JOSEPH MI, US
International Classification:
D06F 33/00
D06F 39/00
D06F 39/02
D06F 35/00
D06F 33/02
Abstract:
A method of automatically initiating a procedure to adjust dosing of laundry treating chemistry after satisfying a threshold of determined over-sudsing conditions in a laundry treating appliance during a cycle of operation. The number of over-sudsing condition is aggregate. Once the aggregate total satisfies a predetermined threshold, a predetermined dosage of laundry treating chemistry is adjusted. The over-sudsing aggregate total can also be reset in the event of an operational event such as a replenishment of a bulk treating chemistry, input by a user of a default value, or passing of a temporal reference, wherein the predetermined dosage is reset to a default value.

Laundry Treating Appliance With Over-Sudsing Condition Compensation Measures

US Patent:
2017017, Jun 22, 2017
Filed:
Dec 21, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/976621
Inventors:
- BENTON HARBOR MI, US
NICHOLAS LEEP - SAINT JOSEPH MI, US
International Classification:
D06F 33/00
D06F 39/02
D06F 39/00
D06F 35/00
Abstract:
A method of automatically initiating a procedure to adjust dosing of laundry treating chemistry after satisfying a threshold of determined over-sudsing conditions in a laundry treating appliance during a cycle of operation. When an over-sudsing condition is detected, an over-sudsing counter is initialized, and the data is stored in the memory of a laundry treating appliance as an aggregate total. Once a predetermined threshold is satisfied, a predetermined dosage of laundry treating chemistry is reduced and the over-sudsing counter is reset. The over-sudsing counter can also be reset in the event of an operational event such as a replenishment of a bulk treating chemistry, input by a user of a default value, or passing of a temporal reference, wherein the predetermined dosage is reset to a default value.
