Carriageless Print Head Assembly For Extrusion-Based Additive Construction

US Patent:
2019007, Mar 7, 2019
Filed:
Sep 2, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/694772
Inventors:
Paul SIERADZKI - New York NY, US
International Classification:
B29C 64/364
B29C 64/209
B29C 47/86
B33Y 30/00
B33Y 50/02
B29C 64/386
Abstract:
A carriageless print head assembly, for use in extrusion-based additive construction is disclosed. The carriageless print head features a cold end equipped with one or more timing belt attachment slots and bores for receiving bearings to achieve linear motion. The carriageless print head may be optionally equipped with some combination of an air conduit for cooling the top layer of the constructed product, a fluid channel for aiding in the regulation of the temperature of the print head cold end, and a thermal monitor for monitoring the temperature of the cold end of the print head. A computer-mediated method of monitoring the cold end of the print head to limit jams due to overheating is also disclosed.

System And Method For Automated Successive Three-Dimensional Printing

US Patent:
2018011, May 3, 2018
Filed:
Nov 1, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/801016
Inventors:
- New York NY, US
Paul SIERADZKI - New York NY, US
Assignee:
R3 Printing LLC - New York NY
International Classification:
B29C 64/227
B29C 64/393
B29C 64/245
B29C 64/255
B29C 64/295
Abstract:
A system and method for autonomously creating subsequent physical objects using a 3-dimensional printer. The system includes a build platform that melts or sublimates at a lower temperature and pressure than the glass-transition temperature of the printed object, allowing the printed object to become detached and removed from the build area with minimal force.

System And Method For Automated Successive Three-Dimensional Printing

US Patent:
2018011, May 3, 2018
Filed:
Nov 1, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/800973
Inventors:
- New York NY, US
Paul SIERADZKI - New York NY, US
Assignee:
R3 Printing LLC - New York NY
International Classification:
B29C 64/245
B33Y 10/00
B33Y 30/00
Abstract:
A system and method for autonomously creating subsequent physical objects using a 3-dimensional printer. The system includes a build platform which is ejected with a printed object adhered to it, with a replenishing mechanism to place a blank build platform into the expected build area such that printing a subsequent object may occur autonomously. The replenishing mechanism may draw from a plurality of stored blank build platforms which may be reusable in some embodiments and disposable in others.

System And Method For On-Demand Colorization For Extrusion-Based Additive Construction

US Patent:
2017013, May 18, 2017
Filed:
Nov 11, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/349144
Inventors:
Paul SIERADZKI - New York NY, US
Daniel DOWNS - Denville NJ, US
International Classification:
B33Y 30/00
B33Y 10/00
B29B 7/00
B29C 47/08
B29C 47/36
B29B 13/00
B29C 67/00
B33Y 50/02
Abstract:
A color 3D printer and its method of use are disclosed. The color 3D printer uses a number of chambers to dye a filament to a given color. This colored filament is then extruded, pursuant to an associated 3D model of an object, to produce varying colored physical objects, on demand, with the use of a single filament and a single print head. Further, the color 3D printer features a waste management apparatus which provides a number of ways to dispose of waste fluid.
