A building construction member comprising a rectangular panel with perpendicular flanges extending from one face thereof along opposed edges to form a shallow channel-shaped construction module. When the member is arranged side-by-side with other like members, the abutted flanges of adjacent members become the studs of a wall or the joists of a ceiling. When used to build a wall finished on both sides, the studs of the two sides are interspersed, and may be placed in contact with the panels of the opposite side to reinforce the panels. Also disclosed is the blank from which the construction member is fabricated, with particular detail of the gypsum board blank for interior surfaces.

Building walls and ceilings, beam or column covers, hollow columns, column covers, soffits, ducts, duct covers and solid construction posts fabricated from V-grooved gypsum board construction members which are adhesively secured in the V-groove areas to form angular faces. Interior and exterior walls using such construction members in combination with panel clips provide structures which are readily disassembled and reusable while providing good sound and thermal insulation properties.

A building wall structure formed from a plurality of paperboard honeycomb layers adhesively secured to each other in vertical arrangement, each honeycomb layer having a central core of paperboard honeycomb having vertical axes honeycomb and a paperboard closure sheet essentially covering the top and bottom of the core, the opposite long sides of the central core being open on each side and the top closure sheet of one honeycomb layer being adhesively secured to the bottom closure sheet of an adjacent honeycomb layer forming a plurality of paperboard honeycomb layers to the desired wall height. This invention also includes prefabricated walls, prefabricated wall sections, and building blocks to erect the above building wall utilizing minimal on-the-site labor. The walls of this invention are suitable to interior and exterior load bearing walls. The walls of this invention may be directly plastered with materials such as stucco or interior plaster.

The second block is positioned atop the first block to define an interface plane at the adjacent first and second surfaces. The wall construction system further includes a shear member encased within cementitious material within the first and second voids at the interface plane. The cementitious material engages opposing walls of the first and second voids.
