Methods Of Processing A Biofluid Sample

US Patent:
2022033, Oct 20, 2022
Filed:
Apr 13, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/720197
Inventors:
- San Mateo CA, US
William C. Manning - Redwood City CA, US
Gregory Troiano - San Mateo CA, US
Asim Siddiqui - San Francisco CA, US
Philip Ma - San Jose CA, US
Omid C. Farokhzad - Waban MA, US
International Classification:
G01N 33/574
G01N 33/552
G01N 33/543
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for processing biofluid samples. Some such methods may include obtaining a biofluid sample from a subject having a disease state such as lung cancer. The biofluid sample may be contacted with a nanoparticles to adsorb proteins. The proteins may then be ionized or contacted with a detection reagent. Also disclosed herein are compositions comprising proteins coupled to a nanoparticle upon contact of the nanoparticle with a biofluid sample from a subject having a disease.

Biomarkers For Diagnosing Alzheimer's Disease

US Patent:
2022026, Aug 18, 2022
Filed:
Nov 3, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/518016
Inventors:
- Redwood City CA, US
Ryan BENZ - Huntington Beach CA, US
Asim SIDDIQUI - San Francisco CA, US
Philip MA - San Jose CA, US
International Classification:
G01N 33/543
G01N 33/551
G01N 33/68
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are compositions, systems, and methods for identifying neurological diseases from biological sample analysis. A biological sample from a subject may be contacted to a particle to form a biomolecule corona, which may contain a subset of biomolecules from the biological sample and which can have utility for diagnosing a neurological disease state. Further disclosed herein are machine learning algorithms and trained classifiers for distinguishing neurological disease states based on biological data.

Direct Classification Of Raw Biomolecule Measurement Data

G06V 10/77
G06V 10/774
G16B 15/00
G16B 40/10
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for direct classification of biological datasets. The datasets may include raw mass spectrometry data. Some aspects include training a classifier for direct classification of raw data, and some aspects include applying the classifier.

Multiple Polarization Radar Unit

US Patent:
2021007, Mar 11, 2021
Filed:
Nov 18, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/951574
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Philip Ma - Mountain View CA, US
International Classification:
G01S 7/02
G01S 7/41
H01Q 21/00
G01S 13/95
G01S 13/931
Abstract:
Example embodiments present radar units capable of operating in multiple polarizations. An example radar unit may include a set of transmission antennas and a set of reception antennas. Particularly, the transmission antennas may each be configured to transmit radar signals that radiate in one or more of four potential polarizations. The four polarizations can correspond to horizontal linear, vertical linear and slanted polarizations at approximately positive forty-five degrees and negative forty-five degrees from the horizontal plane. As such, the reception antennas of the radar unit may each be configured to receive reflected radar signals that are radiating in one of the four potential polarizations. The radar unit may further include an amplifier configured to cause one or multiple transmission antennas to selectively transmit between two or more of the four polarization channels.

Slanted Radomes

US Patent:
2021004, Feb 11, 2021
Filed:
Aug 6, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/532655
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Adam Brown - Mountain View CA, US
Philip Ma - Mountain View CA, US
Matthew Markel - Mountain View CA, US
International Classification:
G01S 7/03
G01S 13/93
H01Q 1/42
H01Q 1/32
Abstract:
Example embodiments relate to slanted radomes for protecting radar units. An example radar system may include a radar unit that includes at least one antenna having a radiation pattern. The radar unit is configured to transmit a radar signal based on the radiation pattern and receive radar signals. In addition, the radar system further includes a radome located in a direction of transmission of the radiation pattern. Particularly, the radome is aligned at an angle relative to a plane of the at least one antenna such that reflections of the transmitted radar signal caused by the radome are directed towards at least one of a null of the radiation pattern and an absorption component.
