Abstract:
A crosslinkable coating composition comprising: ingredient A that has at least two protons that can be activated to form a Michael carbanion donor; ingredient B that functions as a Michael acceptor having at least two ethylenically unsaturated functionalities each activated by an electron-withdrawing group; and a dormant carbamate initiator of Formula (1)wherein Rand Rcan be independently selected from hydrogen, a linear or branched substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 22 carbon atoms; 1 to 8 carbon atoms; and A is a cationic species or polymer and n is an integer equal or greater than 1 with the proviso that A is not an acidic hydrogen; and optionally further comprising ammonium carbamate (HNRROC═ONRR). The crosslinkable coating composition can be used for a variety of coating applications including nail coating compositions.

Abstract:
A nail polish composition containing a crosslinkable coating composition. Abstract:
A clear coating composition for use over nail polish. Abstract:
A composition and method to control viscosity with respect to temperature for an oil-based drilling fluid by adding a polyamide drilling fluid additive to the oil based drilling fluid. In some embodiments, a polyamide drilling fluid additive includes a reaction product of (i) a carboxylic acid with a single carboxylic moiety; (ii) a carboxylic acid with two carboxylic moieties, a carboxylic acid with three carboxylic moieties and combinations thereof; and (iii) a polyamine having an amine functionality of two or more; and placing the placing the oil based drilling fluid into the subterranean formation.
