Cascaded Circulators With Common Ferrite And Common Element Matching Structure

US Patent:
6633205, Oct 14, 2003
Filed:
Feb 4, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/067605
Inventors:
Raymond G. Jussaume - Somerville MA
George W. Hempel - Hanson MA
Assignee:
Tyco Electronics Corporation - Middletown PA
International Classification:
H01P 1387
US Classification:
333 11, 333 242
Abstract:
A compact dual element cascade circulator in which performance is enhanced while the size of the overall device is reduced. The circulator includes a plurality of junctions connected in cascade to provide a plurality of non-reciprocal transmission path between signal ports on a network, and a metal housing with a cover in which the junctions are disposed. The plurality of junctions includes a single oblong permanent magnet, a dual ferrite component including two (2) oblong ferrite elements, a dielectric constant medium disposed between the ferrite elements, and a plurality of conductor portions sandwiched between the ferrite elements. A single impedance matching structure is coupled between successive junctions. By configuring the dual element cascade circulator to include the single permanent magnet and the dual ferrite component that are employed by successive junctions of the circulator, and the single impedance matching structure coupled between the respective successive junctions, enhanced circulator performance and a reduced device size are achieved.

Compact Multi-Element Cascade Circulator

US Patent:
6822524, Nov 23, 2004
Filed:
Feb 4, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/067435
Inventors:
George W. Hempel - Hanson MA
Raymond G. Jussaume - Somerville MA
Assignee:
Tyco Electronics Corporation - Middletown PA
International Classification:
H01P 132
US Classification:
333 11, 333 242
Abstract:
A compact multi-element cascade circulator in which electrical and mechanical performance is enhanced while handling and assembly costs are reduced. The circulator includes a plurality of junctions connected in cascade to provide a plurality of non-reciprocal transmission path between signal ports on a network, and a metal housing with a cover in which the junctions are disposed. The plurality of junctions includes an oval permanent magnet, a multi-ferrite component including two (2) oblong ferrite elements, a dielectric constant medium disposed between the ferrite elements, and a plurality of conductor portions sandwiched between the ferrite elements. By configuring the multi-element cascade circulator to include the oval permanent magnet and the oblong ferrite component that are employed by more than one junction of the circulator, the multi-element cascade circulator achieves enhanced performance with reduced inventory and manufacturing costs.

Fishing Lure

US Patent:
D514189, Jan 31, 2006
Filed:
Sep 16, 2004
Appl. No.:
29/213313
Inventors:
Raymond Gerard Jussaume - Somerville MA, US
International Classification:
2205
US Classification:
D22126

Fishing Lure

US Patent:
7000346, Feb 21, 2006
Filed:
Jun 11, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/865331
Inventors:
Raymond G. Jussaume - Somerville MA, US
International Classification:
A01K 85/00
A01K 85/16
US Classification:
43 4248, 43 4206, 43 4232, 43 4239, 43 4245
Abstract:
A fishing lure for use as a top water lure having a construction of negative buoyancy. The lure has an elongated weighted body resembling a squid with angled channels defined in the top and bottom surfaces of the body. Upon the lure being retrieved by an angler, water gushes through one of the channels and splashes over and about the leading end of the lure, causing the lure to “swim” over the water surface with the trailing end submersed in the water. This presents the appearance of a fleeting baitfish. By careful selection of colors and reflective strips the lure will have an appearance that is very visually stimulating to game fish.

Housing Assembly For Multi-Element Surface-Mount Or Drop-In Circulator Or Isolator

US Patent:
2003003, Feb 13, 2003
Filed:
Feb 4, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/067583
Inventors:
George Hempel - Hanson MA, US
Raymond Jussaume - Somerville MA, US
Stanley Paquette - Dracut MA, US
Assignee:
TYCO ELECTRONICS CORPORATION
International Classification:
H01P001/32
US Classification:
333/001100, 333/024200
Abstract:
A multi-element radio frequency or microwave circulator or isolator assembly has a plurality of integral circuit elements in which the components are formed as single, unitary pieces arrayed in a stack in a single housing assembly. The housing assembly includes a base housing and a cover. The cover is configured to latch to the base housing in contact with the circuit elements to maintain a uniform operative pressure over the circuit elements in the housing assembly. In this manner, the components are maintained in a single dielectric medium and the dimensional tolerances in all elements are the same, leading to reduced losses and greater stability of performance.

Surface Mount Technology Contact For Ferrite Isolator/Circulator Applications

US Patent:
6011449, Jan 4, 2000
Filed:
Feb 18, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/025464
Inventors:
Raymond Gerard Jussaume - Somerville MA
Stanley Vincent Paquette - Dracut MA
Assignee:
The Whitaker Corporation - Wilmington DE
International Classification:
H01P 1387
H05K 504
US Classification:
333 11
Abstract:
A structure for a passive microwave device. The structure includes a housing having circumferential side portions and selectively located openings in the side portions. In addition, electrical conductors for the passive device extend from the openings. The structure further includes substantially rigid supports which provide structural support for the conductors. The conductors are positioned above the supports and are electrically connected to contacts which are secured in apertures formed in the supports. A dielectric material is disposed on a perimeter of each of the contacts which serves to isolate each of the contacts from the support when the contact is positioned within the aperture.
