System, Method And Apparatus For Error Correction In Multi-Processor Systems

US Patent:
2012011, May 10, 2012
Filed:
Oct 28, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/284647
Inventors:
Robert Hillman - Poway CA, US
Gale Williamson - San Diego CA, US
Assignee:
Maxwell Technologies, Inc. - San Diego CA
International Classification:
G06F 11/14
G06F 11/30
US Classification:
714 12, 714 471, 714E11113, 714E11179
Abstract:
This disclosure provides apparatus, methods and systems for error correction in multi processor systems. Some implementations include a plurality of computing modules, each computing module including a processor. Each processor may include processing state. In some other implementations, each computing module may also include a memory. Upon receiving a signal to perform a partial re-synchronization, a hash of each processor's state data may be performed. In some embodiments, a hash of at least a portion of each computing module's memory data may also be performed. The hashes for each processor are then compared to determine majority hashes and possible minority hashes. Upon identifying a minority hash, the computing module that produced the minority hash may receive new processing state data from one of the computing modules that produced a majority hash.

Agglutrimetric Platelet Binding Assays In Blood

US Patent:
5922551, Jul 13, 1999
Filed:
Mar 20, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/820999
Inventors:
Dennis A. Durbin - Solana Beach CA
Theodore T. Lee - Santa Fe CA
Boris I. Ratnikov - San Diego CA
Robert S. Hillman - San Diego CA
Jeffrey W. Smith - San Diego CA
Assignee:
Accumetrics, Inc. - San Diego CA
International Classification:
G01N 33546
G01N 33557
US Classification:
435 721
Abstract:
Methodology which avoids the problems associated with interference from whole blood is provided for instrumented determination of platelet binding function. Particularly, small particles to which fibrinogen is bound, and which contain an infrared light absorbing dye, are used to determine the binding of platelets in a whole blood sample to the fibrinogen. Agglutination of the platelets with the coated particles is determined by a change in infrared light absorption characteristics.

Electronic Input Device

US Patent:
2018024, Aug 30, 2018
Filed:
Feb 27, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/443809
Inventors:
Robert A. Hillman - Poway CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 3/0354
G06F 3/01
G06F 3/03
Abstract:
An electronic input device is disclosed having an orientation monitor, and a support in contact with a user, wherein the orientation monitor monitors a movement of the support, wherein the movement of the support is determined by the user, and wherein the movement of the support is communicated to an electronic device to provide user input of the electronic device. A method of providing input to an electronic device is also disclosed, having the steps of a user sitting on a support, a user moving on the support, an optical sensor receiving an image reflected from the surface of the support, the optical sensor continually monitoring the surface of the support, a processor determining the trends of the optical signals, and the processor sending a signal determination to the electronic device.
