International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709231
Abstract:
Systems and methods for adaptive multipath content streaming in communication networks are disclosed. In one embodiment, a computer-based system to manage content streaming from a sender to a receiver comprises a processor and logic instructions stored in a tangible computer-readable medium coupled to the processor which, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to split an encoded content stream into a plurality of parallel content streams including a first content stream comprising a base layer and at least a first additional layer, wherein the base layer contains a low-bandwidth content stream and reference information for additional layers and a second content stream comprising the base layer and at least a second additional layer, and a transmitter to transmit at least one of the first content stream or the second content stream from the sender to the receiver based at least in part on an available bandwidth parameter.

Collaborative Rules Based Security

US Patent:
2012015, Jun 21, 2012
Filed:
Dec 15, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/969323
Inventors:
Depti Patel - Agoura Hills CA, US
Robert John Rencher - Normandy Park WA, US
James M. Rubert - Puyallup WA, US
David Wayne Nelson - Maple Valley WA, US
Assignee:
THE BOEING COMPANY - Chicago IL
International Classification:
G06F 21/00
US Classification:
726 3
Abstract:
A cloud computing security system. An access manager module includes first and second client profiles. The first client profile has a first set of rules enabling access to a first set of cloud computing system resources, and the second client profile has a second set of rules enabling access to a second set of cloud computing system resources. A security logic module is in communication with the access manager module. The security logic module is configured to receive an access request for access to one of the first and second sets of cloud computing system resources. Responsive to determining that the access request complies with at least one of the first set of rules and the second set of rules, the security logic module is configured to provide an access grant that grants access to at least one of the first and second sets of cloud computing system resources.

Aircraft Mask Monitoring System

US Patent:
2022034, Nov 3, 2022
Filed:
Nov 4, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/453639
Inventors:
- Chicago IL, US
Robert J. Rencher - Normandy Park WA, US
International Classification:
B64D 45/00
B64D 11/06
Abstract:
An aircraft mask monitoring system is provided, which includes a plurality of masks respectively corresponding to a plurality of seats in an aircraft. The masks are configured to deliver oxygen. Each mask includes at least one of a plurality of sensors, and each sensor is configured to detect an operational parameter of the respective mask as sensor data. The system further includes one or more processors configured to communicate with the sensors via a wired or wireless connection, receive the sensor data from the sensors, store the sensor data in an associated storage device, and process the sensor data using anomaly detection logic to generate a sensor data report. The sensor data report includes an anomaly state of at least one mask. The one or more processors are further configured to output the sensor data report for display on a client computing device.

Distributed Ledger For Software Distribution In A Wireless Ad Hoc Network For Ad-Hoc Data Processing On A Source Node

US Patent:
2021020, Jul 8, 2021

G06F 16/27
G06F 21/62
Abstract:
A method of acquiring software by a source node in a wireless ad hoc network. The method includes the source node executing application software from which a need to perform a task is identified, and making a determination that the source node is incapable of performing the task. Responsive to the determination, the source node searches a local module repository (MR) of the source node for a software module usable to perform the task, and responsive to the source node failing to locate the software module in the local MR, broadcasts a request for the software module to neighbor nodes of the plurality of nodes in radio range of the source node. The source node receives the software module from the neighbor node, and uses the software module to perform the task.
