US Classification:
709224, 707804, 715234, 715237, 455 201, 455405
Abstract:
A method of storing collected data on a wireless device. User interaction with a wireless device and/or the performance of the wireless device is monitored and data related thereto collected. The collected data may be structured into a tagged hierarchical structure comprising a plurality of events that are separate and independent from one another. Each event may describe a specific application with a plurality of attributes. The tagged hierarchical structure formed as a tree structure is translated into a syntax generic language. The result may be formed into a compact format using a zipped format and/or a binary-equivalent format and then stored and transmitted to a central location (e. g. , a server) for statistical analysis processing. The server transforms the received data into expanded format and forms a hierarchical tree structure for each event and its attributes.

Abstract:
Various embodiments are directed to an application management framework for web applications that may provide speed improvements, capability improvements, user experience improvements, increased advertising profit opportunities, and simplified application development to wide range of network devices. The described embodiments may employ techniques for containing, controlling, and presenting multiple web-based applications in a shared web browser application management framework. Sharing a web browser application management framework provides the capability for rapidly switching between applications, allows for multitasking, facilitates using a common set of input controls for applications, and makes it possible for applications to be available with little perceived startup (“boot”) time. The described embodiments also provide incentives for web application users, web application developers, web application portal providers, and web advertising providers to share in transactions between one another.

The example method also involves receiving a first media presentation via the first wireless telephone device terminal and a second media presentation via the second wireless telephone device terminal. The first media presentation is encoded using the first media encoding format and the second media presentation is encoded using the second media encoding format. The first and second media presentations include substantially similar media content. The example method also involves generating a first reference signature of the first media presentation and a second reference signature of the second media presentation.

Genome Browser Interface

US Patent:
2002016, Nov 14, 2002
Filed:
Mar 25, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/105781
Inventors:
Shawn Delaney - San Jose CA, US
Douglas Hudson - King of Prussia PA, US
Jason Miller - Frederick MD, US
Irene Ong - Madison WI, US
Roderick Swift - Albuquerque NM, US
Michael van der List - Paoli PA, US
International Classification:
G06G007/48
G06G007/58
G06F019/00
US Classification:
702/020000, 703/011000
Abstract:
Genome browsers are software tools for visualizing DNA sequence in the context of its annotation. Genome browsers are critical tools for assisting the analytical task of manually integrating annotations from various algorithms, none of which are 100% trusted. All genome browsers use some combination of stacking and banding annotations around a sequence. The spreadsheet is a vehicle for presenting stacked and banded annotation. Gadget is a new genome browser that uses a spreadsheet-like interface to organize annotation. Gadget's layout is useful and simple to implement using pre-existing software libraries.

Filed:
Feb 15, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/579271
Inventors:
Henry A. Trujillo - Palmas NM, US
Danny N. Ashman - Montrose, CA
Lynn M. Miner - Chewelah WA, US
Shaun P. Ashman - Mansfield TX, US

A method for powering down a autonomous power unit includes a spark ignition engine power source having an associated power source actuating system and a power output, comprises a regulator associated with the power source. The regulator comprises a deactivator actuatingly linked to the power source actuating system and having a base and secondary configurations wherein the base configuration allows the rated power output by the power source and the secondary configurations allow a progressively reduced secondary rate of power output by the power source and wherein the secondary rates are less than the base rate. The apparatus further comprises a controller remote from the regulator, for transmitting a control signal to the regulator. The deactivator is actuable in response to the control signal to activate either the base rate configuration or one of the secondary configurations to control thereby regulating the power source.
