A sleeping bag sized to enclose the body of a user from at least the neck to the toes has a plurality of transverse ingress/egress openings in the top cover disposed between the head end and foot end in parallel longitudinally spaced apart relation at locations corresponding generally to various body areas and segments of a human body that enable concurrent passage of selected parts or segments of the user's body into and out of the interior space such that at least one selected part or segment of the user's body can be extended into the interior space to be covered, while concurrently therewith, other selected parts or segments of the user's body can be left out or extended out of the interior space through other respective openings to be uncovered. The openings may be provided with closures and portions of the closures may be luminescent.

A multiple-entry/egress sleeping bag for adjustable body coverage includes a shell which defines an internal space. The shell defines a plurality of body segment access openings through the shell that permit a user to extend various body segments though the shell into or out of the internal space and thereby vary which body segment are covered and are within the internal space versus laying on top of the bag. Such body segment access openings are preferably defined at locations corresponding to the neck, chest, waist, knees, and ankles areas of the user. Means are provided for making the body segment access openings selectively sealable and unsealable.

A sleeping bag comprises an elongate shell having an interior space sized and shaped to receive a user therein. A plurality of sealing devices are associated with a corresponding plurality of body segment access openings spaced apart through the shell such that each of the plurality of sealing devices may be actuated to permit a user's selected body segment to be extended through the shell into the interior space. A method of making a sleeping bag comprises forming a sleeping bag sized and shaped to cover a user's body. A multi-layer pad of double-sided adhesive sheet material with individual pull-tabs.
