Secure Off-Line Transactions Through Broadcast Encryption

US Patent:
2022031, Oct 6, 2022
Filed:
Apr 1, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/220436
Inventors:
- Armonk NY, US
Eric Kevin Butler - San Jose CA, US
Marc Henri Coq - Hopewell Junction NY, US
Cedric D. Cook - Richmond TX, US
Akil Khamisi Sutton - Poughkeepsie NY, US
International Classification:
G06Q 20/22
G06Q 20/38
H04W 72/00
H04L 9/06
Abstract:
Techniques for securing peer-to-peer off-line transactions such as mobile device energy sharing through the use of broadcast encryption are provided. In one aspect, a method for securing transactions includes: encrypting the transactions in a digital wallet of a user in a digital network (e.g., a blockchain network) in a manner whereby the user can encrypt but cannot decrypt the transactions, and other users in the digital network can decrypt but cannot encrypt the transactions, thereby requiring the user to reveal all or none of the transactions in the digital wallet of the user since the user does not know which of the transactions is which, wherein one or more of the transactions are conducted off-line without users having a connection to the digital network.

Biometric-Based Distress Detection And Delivery Of Assistance

US Patent:
2022026, Aug 25, 2022
Filed:
Feb 23, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/182944
Inventors:
- Armonk NY, US
Cedric D. Cook - Richmond TX, US
Osakpamwan OSAIGBOVO - ARGYLE TX, US
Myneeka Holloway - Austin TX, US
International Classification:
A61B 5/00
G06K 9/00
Abstract:
A computer system provides biometric-based distress detection and assistance. Biometric information that is associated with an entity and audio data associated with an environment of the entity are received. A distress score is calculated based on the biometric information. The audio data is analyzed to identify one or more distress factors. In response to determining that the distress score exceeds a distress threshold and in response to identifying the one or more distress factors, a notification that the entity requires aid is transmitted to a third party. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and program product for providing biometric-based distress detection and assistance in substantially the same manner described above.

Decentralized Green-Energy Ecosystem

US Patent:
2022025, Aug 11, 2022
Filed:
Feb 9, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/171482
Inventors:
- Armonk NY, US
Marc Henri Coq - Hopewell Junction NY, US
CEDRIC D. COOK - Richmond TX, US
Akil Khamisi Sutton - Poughkeepsie NY, US
International Classification:
H02J 7/00
G16Y 20/30
G16Y 40/35
H04L 29/08
H04L 9/06
Abstract:
A processor may identify that a computing device is below a power threshold. The processor may generate a charge request. The charge request may include metrics associated with a requested power exchange. The processor may send the charge request to a decentralized exchange. The decentralized exchange may include the computing device and at least two other devices. The processor may receive respective charging proposals from the at least two other devices. The processor may select one of the respective charging proposals.
