Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale andattending Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and St Thomas Aquinas High School, Shawn McSweeney lettered in football and wrestling and later played football at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. After suffering aninjury,Shawn decided to return to Florida He finished his schooling at Florida International University, earning a B.S. in Hospitality Management. Shawnhad started his career in the hospitality industry at 15. He concluded his workin hospitality at 31, as the Banquet Manager of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. He thenmoved to Las Vegas and upon arriving there decided to enroll in real estate school, reasoning that his knowledge of the hospitality industry would serve him well in this new field of endeavor. Since 2001, he has been involved in the real estate industry,either as a REALTOR® or a Mortgage broker, maintaining both licenses for most of that time. After Shawn moved back to Fort Lauderdale in 2008, the opportunity aroseto develop a boutique company, Acadia Real Estate Properties Inc., specializing inprovidingsuperior service in the real estate industry.
