Next Generation Sequencing, utilizing the Roche GS Junior 454, Ion Trrent PGM and Proton, and PyroMark Q96, as well as Genomic Restriction Mapping. I coordinate with the PI at my lab in bacterial and viral assay development as well as protocol and SOP development. I also have wet chemistry experience with Horiba- Particle Size Analysis, X-Ray Diffraction and Fluorescence, GCMS, DSC-TGA and FTIR. I am also well versed in DNA/RNA extractions and purifications, Gel Electrophoresis/ SDS-PAGE, PCR and RT-PCR utilizing several instruments, cell culture, gram staining. Other lab duties included reagent and solution preparation, sterile lab techniques, autoclaving, inventory maintenance and inventory database maintenance, hydration and distribution of primer sets, organization of lab equipment and preventative maintenance. I kept a detailed lab notebook of my progress and data, which includes each specific experiment involved with my project. I am responsible for training new coworkers on new equipment and procedures as well as supervision of interns.
