Keyboard Modification System

US Patent:
6970109, Nov 29, 2005
Filed:
Jul 19, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/199377
Inventors:
Stanley J. Wolfson - Denver CO, US
Daniel H. Ross - Highlands Ranch CO, US
Assignee:
Clancy Systems International, Inc. - Denver CO
International Classification:
H03K017/94
H03M011/00
US Classification:
341 22, 361686, 400717
Abstract:
The keyboard modification system includes: a looping module; a keycode processing module; a determining module; and, at least one additional keycode processing module. The looping module checks for the existence of incoming data from a communication port of a PDA and provides a keycode data output therefrom. A keycode processing module receives the keycode data output from the looping module and translates the data into variable data. A determining module determines whether a key on a keyboard of a portable keyboard assembly has remained depressed and if not continues to check for the existence of the variable data and translate the variable data to a keydata stream. The additional keycode processing module replaces the keydata stream with a different keydata stream if the key has remained depressed.

Portable Keyboard Assembly

US Patent:
2004001, Jan 22, 2004
Filed:
Jul 19, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/199645
Inventors:
Stanley Wolfson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
G06F001/16
US Classification:
361/680000, 361/686000
Abstract:
The portable keyboard assembly includes a keyboard subassembly and a PDA housing assembly. The keyboard subassembly includes a keyboard case assembly and a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly attached to the keyboard case assembly. The PCB assembly includes a plurality of keyboard keys. The PDA housing assembly is pivotally connected to the keyboard subassembly. It includes a PDA support element assembly; a locking element for securely attaching a PDA to the PDA support element assembly; and, a PDA connector assembly attached to the PDA support element assembly and to the PCB assembly. The PDA connector assembly provides data communication between the PDA and the keyboard subassembly. The keyboard subassembly and the PDA housing assembly require no independent power source for operation.

Automated Parking System With Interactive Voice Response

US Patent:
2006001, Jan 19, 2006
Filed:
Jul 16, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/892670
Inventors:
Stanley Wolfson - Denver CO, US
David Goodwin - Lakewood CO, US
Mark Fairchild - Arvada CO, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/00
US Classification:
705013000
Abstract:
An automated parking system including a data server module, an internet-based sign up module, an automated parking module, an enforcement module, and a payment module. The data server module includes a member information database that stores selected member information; a client information database for storing selected client information; a location database for containing listings of parking units administered by the automated parking system; and an activity database for containing a listing of parking unit and member activity. The internet-based sign up module is operatively connected to the member information database for entering and processing new selected member information and providing private member identification information. The private member identification information includes a member identifier and personal identifier. The automated parking module implements the steps of: i) determining whether a user is a valid member based on the selected member information in response to a placed parking unit inquiry; ii) prompting the user for a parking unit (e.g. space or lot) identifier (e.g. number) if the user is a valid member, iii) determining if the parking unit identifier is valid based on parking unit listings in the location database and prompting the user to confirm a purchase by entering a personal identifier (e.g. PIN); and, iv) completing the transaction if the correct personal identifier is entered. The enforcement module is operatively connected to the data server module for checking selected parking units and validating the amount of time a member can park in a specific parking unit based on the activity data. The payment module is operatively connected to the data server module for processing member activity for a selected time frame and providing a billing of the member in response thereto; and, for processing parking unit activity for a selected time frame and providing payment to the client in response thereto utilizing the selected client information.

Secure Electronic Payment

US Patent:
2022020, Jun 30, 2022
Filed:
Mar 11, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/654501
Inventors:
- Denver CO, US
Stanley J. Wolfson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
G06Q 20/08
G06Q 20/20
G06Q 20/32
G06Q 50/18
G06Q 20/38
G06Q 20/18
G06Q 20/36
Abstract:
Secure electronic payment is disclosed as it may be implemented for a point of sale machine such as but not limited to, vending machines/devices, parking devices/facilities, and laundry machines/facilities. An example secure electronic payment system includes a remote payment processing to confirm payment for a transaction at a point of sale device. The point of sale device is configured to receive a token from the mobile device for the transaction. A token processing module at the point of sale device confirms validity of the token. A transaction processing module executes the transaction at the point of sale device.

Camera Parking Enforcement

US Patent:
2022018, Jun 9, 2022
Filed:
Dec 3, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/247201
Inventors:
- Denver CO, US
Stanley J. Wolfson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
G08G 1/017
G08G 1/04
G07B 15/02
G06K 9/00
Abstract:
An example system for camera parking enforcement includes an intelligent network of cameras, and an enforcement computing device. The enforcement computing device determines a lot time based on the vehicle being in the designated parking area, and compares the lot time to a payment confirmed by a payment processor. The enforcement computing device issues a notice of violation for the vehicle when the vehicle remains in the designated parking area for longer than an allowed time based on the payment confirmed by the payment processor.

Payment And Enforcement System For Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

US Patent:

Digital Payment And Vending System

US Patent:
2019018, Jun 20, 2019
Filed:
Feb 25, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/284623
Inventors:
- Denver CO, US
Stanley J. Wolfson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:

G06Q 20/18
G06Q 20/32
Abstract:
An example of a digital payment and vending system includes a vending device operable to deliver a product or service in response to payment and a wireless certificate reader for the vending device. A near-field communications device communicates with a mobile computing device in proximity to the vending device to receive a digital certificate from a mobile computing device. The digital certificate confirms payment by a third-party payment processor without the wireless certificate reader having to communicate directly with the third-party payment processor. A local computing device with memory for the wireless certificate reader compares the digital certificate with pre-stored data in the memory of the wireless certificate reader to confirm that the digital certificate received from the mobile computing device is authorized. Payment is made by the third-party payment processor without an end-user providing any personal payment information to the vending device.
