I am a retired Firefighter/Paramedic. My former major employer was "The Arlington County Fire Department, in Arlington County, VA. To my immediate left is my oldest daughter Maria or (Sissy) as i called her until she was 3 yrs old. I will be adding pictures of my other 4 children when I obtain their permission. I am extremely proud of all my children and their respective careers, accomplishes and families. I was a single custodial parent of my first (3) children, which includes my oldest son, who is in a succesful business of his own now after completing (10) years in the USMC. After I retired from the Fire Department I applied and was accepted in Medical School after completing a diverse plethora of medical education that lasted for approximatly eight years. I was certified, registered, and licensed in many fields of medical expertise, to many to elaborate on in depth and in this format, suffice it to say that what kept the meat on the table was my primary career as a supervisory professional firefighter/paramedic and certified educator for the State of Virginia. (I will STOP at this point and try to complete this prroject within aprox 3 days then I will open it up for discussion in a blog like format, mainly for peer review and the education of 2nd and 3rd generation street traumatologist of the 21st century. (Primarily as a warning and a promise that goes out to all first responders of this time and day to take as a serious revelation of the the price that was paid, and indeed continues to be paid by all that are called for whatever reason to this line of work; It is my heart felt hope the what you read here will wake you up like a bad dream and cause you to reflect at the deepest layers of your being the monsters as well as the angels you will confront and seek to influence you at your weakest and most vulnerable time.
