Artificial Compound Eye With Adaptive Microlenses

US Patent:
2013016, Jun 27, 2013
Filed:
Dec 23, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/336075
Inventors:
Yi Zhao - Columbus OH, US
Hansong Zeng - Columbus OH, US
Assignee:
THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY - Columbus OH
International Classification:
H04N 7/18
US Classification:
348 61, 348E07085
Abstract:
An artificial compound eye formed of three layers of membrane bonded to one another in a stacked relationship. A field chamber is located intermediate the two bottommost membranes. A plurality of focus chambers is located intermediate the two topmost membranes, and an image sensor is located below each focus chamber. The field chamber and each focus chamber contain a pressurized fluid medium. The ceilings of the focus chambers function as lenses though which light must pass to reach the sensors. The fluid pressure in the field chamber can be varied to expand or contract the eye between a planer and a domed configuration, thereby allowing the field of view of the eye to be varied. The fluid pressure in each focus chamber can be varied to expand or contract each lens between a planar and a domed configuration for independently varying the focal length of each lens.

Inductor Topology For Phase Noise Reduction

US Patent:
2023008, Mar 23, 2023
Filed:
Sep 2, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/902669
Inventors:
- Cupertino CA, US
Ahmed L. Hussein - San Jose CA, US
Yi Zhao - San Jose CA, US
International Classification:
H03B 5/08
H03L 7/099
Abstract:
A voltage-controlled oscillator may include an inductor. The inductor may include a first coil coupled to an electronic component. The inductor may include a first coil coupled to the first circuit component, a second coil coupled to the first circuit component via a junction and being in parallel with the first coil, and a shared circuit path coupled to the second circuit component, the first coil, and the second coil, the shared circuit path overlapping the junction. The inductor may be configured to reduce phase noise generated by the electronic component.

Security And Governance Policies In Electronic Signature Systems

US Patent:
2023002, Jan 26, 2023
Filed:
Sep 30, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/958154
Inventors:
- Redwood City CA, US
Rohit BAKSHI - Campbell CA, US
Yi ZHAO - Redwood City CA, US
Shawn SHAY - Castro Valley CA, US
William Ernest CARLSON - Austin TX, US
Assignee:
Box, Inc. - Redwood City CA
International Classification:
H04L 9/40
Abstract:
Policy-informed e-signature processing. An electronic signature system (ESS) is interfaced to a content management system (CMS) that stores instances of shared files and coordinates policy-informed interactions with the shared files. Upon detection of an occurrence of an e-signature request event, electronic signature processing is carried out in a manner that observes one or more governance policies that control handling of shared files. When responding to an e-signature request event, the CMS observes the governance policies by issuing an electronic query to a database of parameters, wherein the parameters define metes and bounds of the governance policies. Upon determination that at least some of the governance policies at least potentially apply to the e-signature processing, the ESS and/or the CMS modifies metadata pertaining to one or more workflow objects that are associated with a computer-implemented workflow. The workflow may terminate or be terminated based upon the one or more governance policies.

Context-Aware Content Object Security

US Patent:
2021002, Jan 21, 2021
Filed:
Oct 1, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/948828
Inventors:
- Redwood City CA, US
Sivaramakrishnan Subramanian - San Jose CA, US
Kechen Huang - Menlo Park CA, US
Pal Ramanathan - Foster City CA, US
Varun Parmar - Los Altos CA, US
Yi Zhao - Redwood City CA, US
Assignee:
Box, Inc. - Redwood City CA
International Classification:
H04L 29/06
Abstract:
As a default, a global permissions model is established. The global permissions model serves for applying a first set of resource access permissions to shared content objects. Additionally, a set of context-aware access policies that govern user interactions over the shared content object is established. When a particular user requests an interaction over a shared content object, then interaction attributes associated with the request are gathered. The context-aware access policies are applied to the request by determining a set of extensible access permissions that are derived from the interaction attributes. The context-aware access policies are enforced by overriding the first set of resource access permissions with dynamically-determined access permissions. When a particular access request is denied, a response is generated in accordance with the set of extensible access permissions and the user is notified. In some cases, the access request is permitted, but only after the user provides a justification.
