Filed:
Jun 14, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/703819
Inventors:
Wayde Fleener - Bloomington MN, US
Jon Earl Von Rentzell - Chanhassen MN, US
Daniel W. Mallin - Minneapolis MN, US
Justin W. Cox - New Brighton MN, US
Charles D. Park - Palm Harbor FL, US
Assignee:
Carlson Marketing Worldwide, Inc. - Minneapolis MN
International Classification:
G06Q 30/08
US Classification:
705 729
Abstract:
In an example, a method includes defining a subset of one or more individuals records, wherein the individual records are stored in a population database; creating an auction record in an auction database for the subset, wherein the auction record stores data representing a period of time and a conversion metric for the one or more individuals in the period of time, and wherein the period of time is an exclusive period of time for communicating to the subset population; evaluating the conversion metric for the one or more individual records during the period of time, wherein the one or more individuals records are classified as converted or non-converted based on the evaluation; and based on the evaluation, extending the first period of time for a portion of the one or more individuals records that are classified as converted.

Searching Structured And Unstructured Data Sets

US Patent:
2017032, Nov 16, 2017
Filed:
May 11, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/592411
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Scott Litman - Minneapolis MN, US
Daniel Mallin - Minneapolis MN, US
Allen Chambers - Cinnamonson NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
G06F 17/30
G06F 17/30
G06F 17/30
Abstract:
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for receiving, by a computing system, a first query that was specified by user input at a computing device. The computing system requests, as a result of having determined that one or more datasets of structured data do not have data for answering the first query, a search of one or more datasets of unstructured data that is based on the first query. The computing system requests multiple results to the search of the one or more datasets of unstructured data, wherein the multiple results are each associated with a query relevance score. The computing system provides the multiple results for presentation by the computing device, in a ranked order that is based on the query relevance score for each of the multiple results.

Searching Multiple Data Sets

US Patent:
2017032, Nov 16, 2017
Filed:
May 11, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/592888
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Scott Litman - Minneapolis MN, US
Daniel Mallin - Minneapolis MN, US
Allen Chambers - Cinnamonson NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
G06F 7/08
G06F 17/30
G06F 17/30
Abstract:
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for receiving a query that was specified by user input at a computing device, identifying multiple datasets that are available to be queried, and identifying a ranking of the multiple datasets. A search of a highest-ranked of the multiple datasets may be requested. The search of the highest-ranked of the multiple datasets may be determined to not yield a result. A search of a lower-ranked of the multiple data sets may then be requested, and a responsive result thereby received. That result may be provided for presentation by the computing device.

Compiling Results From Different Search Queries

US Patent:
2017032, Nov 16, 2017
Filed:
May 11, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/592842
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Scott Litman - Minneapolis MN, US
Daniel Mallin - Minneapolis MN, US
Allen Chambers - Cinnamonson NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
G06F 17/30
Abstract:
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for receiving, by a computing system, a query that was specified by user input at a computing device. The computing system identifies one or more results to the query. The computing system provides the one or more results for presentation by the computing device. The computing system receives an indication that user input at the computing device provided input to save a user-selected result, of the one or more results, for later presentation. The computing system receives a request to present the computing device with a display of saved results to search queries. The computing device presents the display of saved results to search queries, including a presentation of the user-selected result and a second user-selected result.

Providing A List Of Suggested Queries

US Patent:
2017032, Nov 16, 2017
Filed:
May 11, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/592940
Inventors:
- Minneapolis MN, US
Scott Litman - Minneapolis MN, US
Daniel Mallin - Minneapolis MN, US
Allen Chambers - Cinnamonson NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
G06F 17/30
G06F 7/24
Abstract:
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for receiving a request to provide a computing device with a list of suggested queries. A system may identify that a particular term has occurred frequently in documents published within a recent time period, and in response may select a particular query to include in the list of suggested queries based on the computing system determining that the particular query includes the particular term. A computing device may be provided with data to cause the computing device to present the particular query in the list of suggested queries. An indication that user input selected the particular query from the presented list of suggested queries may be received, and one or more results to the particular query may be provided for receipt and presentation by the computing device.
