Abstract:
This invention relates to novel mutations in a gene, Msd3, which increase the seed yield in . The nucleic acid sequences of this mutated gene and its encoded protein(s) are included. This invention also relates to genetically altered plants having this mutated gene and/or containing the mutated protein and which have increased flower production and seed yield and lower jasmonic acid production.
