Bracket Supported Side View Mirror System

US Patent:
4208104, Jun 17, 1980
Filed:
Jan 17, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/004110
Inventors:
Soren E. Peterson - Salt Lake City UT
International Classification:
G02B 718
A47G 124
US Classification:
350304
Abstract:
A side view mirror system, including method and apparatus, the apparatus comprising at least two juxtaposed mirror segments respectively contained in planes disposed at a slight angle in respect to each other to be mounted together upon a vehicle as a side view mirror assembly whereby other vehicles to the rear may be readily viewed by the vehicle driver in one mirror segment and other vehicles in what would otherwise be the "blind spot" may be readily viewed in the other mirror segment.

Apparatus For Forming Cleats On Belting

US Patent:
4104094, Aug 1, 1978
Filed:
Dec 17, 1976
Appl. No.:
5/751262
Inventors:
Soren E. Peterson - Salt Lake City UT
International Classification:
B32B 3114
US Classification:
156500
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for forming and fixing cleats to belting, for forming industrial conveyor belts and the like as a usable product. Various durometers can be chosen by selection of cure-cycle for the cleats, which may be different from that of the belting itself. No metal fasteners are employed; rather, in a preferred form of the invention, the cleat is both formed, cured, and pressed against the belting under raise-temperature conditions during the cure cycle. The cleat will be securely bonded or vulcanized to the belting. Rubber cement can be employed at cleat-securement surfaces. The invention also comprehends multiple cleats being simultaneously secured to the belting.

Agricultural Roll For Conveying And Sorting Machines

US Patent:
4557388, Dec 10, 1985
Filed:
Jul 9, 1984
Appl. No.:
6/628858
Inventors:
Soren E. Peterson - West Valley City UT
International Classification:
B07B 1304
US Classification:
209671
Abstract:
An improved agricultural machine roll of the tapered revolving type wherein such tapered roll has a series of ribs forming a frusto-conical traction surface. The upper extremity of these ribs have provided, at least proximate thereto, a series of nubs that are located proximate the greatest circumferential dimension of the roll and which extend radially outwardly beyond such ribs. The reduced end of the roll is prefereably thickened so as to reduce chances of fracturing of material proximate the axial hole with which the roll is provided. There will likewise be supplied protuberance means, spaced from said nubs, which are directed essentially radially outwardly beyond the lower portions of the ribs. These will be less in number than the ribs and are designed to impinge upon potatoes or other agricultural pockets so as to lift upwardly and advance forwardly the potatoes, for example, should the rib traction surface become slick as by filling with dirt, mud or other debris.
