US Patent:
6715390, Apr 6, 2004
Filed:
Oct 21, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/273593
Inventors:

Abstract:
For a woodworking machine having a horizontally disposed working table with a top planar surface and a saw blade transverse to the table, there is provided an elongated work-retainer fence having a planar facing disposed substantially perpendicular to the planar surface of the table. The work-retainer fence is spaced from the saw blade and parallel to the line of the saw blade; and the fence includes at least one horizontally disposed support that is substantially normal to the planar facing of the fence and is distended outwardly from at least one of the marginal edges of the table. The support has a substantially top planar surface that is substantially co-planar with the planar surface of the working table.

Woodworking Machine

US Patent:
2003014, Aug 7, 2003
Filed:
Feb 4, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/061879
Inventors:
Tom Flader - Fond du Lac WI, US
International Classification:
B27B013/00
B23D053/00
B23D055/00
US Classification:
083/788000, 083/821000
Abstract:
For a woodworking machine having a horizontally disposed working table and a bandsaw blade transverse to the table, there is provided an elongated fence having a substantially rectangular cross-section mounted perpendicular to the table and spaced from the saw blade and parallel to the line of the saw blade. The fence has a clamp including (a) a downwardly disposed projection at about one end of the fence adaptable for engaging an edge of the table, and (b) a pivotal member downwardly disposed from the fence at about the opposite end thereof and adaptable for engaging an opposite edge of the table. The projection is adjustable linearly relative to the fence to bring the projection and the pivotal member into fast engagement with opposed edges of the table. The pivotal member includes locking screw for locking the fence in a selectively pivotal position.

Vertically Adjustable Bifocal Eye Glasses

US Patent:
4280758, Jul 28, 1981
Filed:
Aug 30, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/071060
Inventors:
Tom R. Flader - Fond du Lac WI
Don A. Ellis - New Berlin WI
International Classification:
G02C 706
G02C 100
G02C 512
G02C 504
US Classification:
351 55
Abstract:
The eyeglasses include a pair of rims carrying bifocal lenses and interconnected by a bridge to define a nose-receiving space therebetween and further includes a nose piece, mounted between the rims, either as an integral part of the bridge or as part of a separate, detachable unit. The nose piece is connected to a push-push mechanism which is arranged so that a wearer, with the nose piece resting on his nose, can conveniently move the lenses up and down between a normal position and raised a position where the lower reading portions of the lenses are in front of the eyes by simply applying a momentary downward force on the bridge, the rims or the temple pieces.
